Firefighter Job Application

$125 non-refundable application fee

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
Valid driver's license
*Important Note: these are the minimum threshold requirements for the CO FIREfighter Testing Consortium. Individual departments may hold more stringent requirements. In order to be considered for each agency you must comply with their minimum standards. For example, some agencies require EMT-B and HazMat certifications, however, the timing of the requirement may differ. Please see the department(s) job description for specific information on individual department requirements.

Eligible candidates must attend one (1) of the mandatory written examinations outlined below.
Colorado testing sessions:
Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at North Metro Fire Training Center, 1006 Weld Co. Rd. 11, Northglenn, CO - multiple testing sessions will be available; exact times will be provided at a later date
Saturday, April 21, 2018 at South Adams Co. Fire Station, 10326 Walden St., Commerce City, CO - multiple testing sessions will be available; exact times will be provided at a later date
Illinois testing sessions:
Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at IOS, 1127 S. Mannheim Rd. Ste. 202, Westchester, IL - 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Saturday, April 21, 2018 at IOS, 1127 S. Mannheim Rd. Ste. 202, Westchester, IL - 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Testing sessions will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. To increase the likelihood of selecting your desired timeslot, be sure to correctly submit all the required documentation by the application deadline. You will be notified via email on how to register for a testing session at a later time. Dates and times are subject to change.
If you tested in the fall 2017 consortium you do not need to reapply unless you would like to retest in attempt to improve your score. Testing scores are valid for a one-year period.
If you would like to retain the score that you achieved in the fall 2017 process, no further action is required. Your score will automatically be combined with the spring 2018 testing cycle.
